The article does say that philosophy as in the Greek version, that attributes religion and myths as something for the masses, is Haram.
The first paragraphs are literally defining philosophy as 4 different studies and then separating that from traditional Greek philosophy.
Considering lots of great philosophers, scientists and physicians came from the Muslim world since even the 1200s, I’m gonna call this bullshit.

Allah dropping new rules
Given Allah’s lack of existence. People are dropping new rules in Allah’s name.
Edit to clarify: I find people make their religion fit their morals not the other way round. Some people joining the anti-intellectual movement will use religion to justify it. If they didnt use religion it would just be something else.
