In terms of target, certainly, but in terms of “Is using Starship Troopers bad?”, not really. It’d be one thing if it was obscure, or wasn’t a long-established meme, but it’s… not. “It’s afraid” as an image response was kicking around back when I was in highschool on php forums. It’s just part of the meme lexicon at this point.
There’s no reason to assume the troopers in the meme are supposed represent the Democratic Party? Could be a magat or maybe his owner Putin petting him in that meme.
