In the case of meta/twitter/etc. the changing of policy from protecting groups that are discriminated against (ineffectively, but at least pretending to try) to actually promoting hate and discrimination is revealing their true selves as bigots and hate mongers.
Not sure what you mean, but I read it as full musk off - not sure really what that would mean either but it somehow makes more sense.

I think they were confused because of the typo. It should say “they went full mask off”
