Yeah, I’m assuming this is in place to comply with the stupid UK age verification laws anyway. They don’t want to enforce an age restriction, but they’re forced to for their users. They don’t care about users on other instances. That’s not their problem.

I leaved Reddit because of this. And I choose Lemmy over other Social Media app to ignore this. I can safely say I am not. I don’t even joke about it like some edgy teenager thinking saying N-Word is fucking cool or saying Hitler was a good person and everyone should do it too. Or Hating LGBTQ person.
I believe the most an admin can do is block you from their own instance (e.g. lemmy.world banning you from lemmy.world communities), they don’t own your account on lemm.ee so they can’t ban your account from accessing the comms they don’t control, and lemm.ee has no reason to ban you.
