"Thursday marks 68 days and counting since ANY humanitarian aid was allowed into Gaza. For more than nine weeks, Israel has blocked all supplies: no food, no water, no medicine, and no fuel.
Hundreds of truckloads of lifesaving supplies are waiting to enter Gaza, sitting just across the border, but are denied entry by Israeli authorities.
… Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “Israel’s policy is clear: No humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, and blocking this aid is one of the main pressure levers.” "
Has anyone tried? A big convoy full of supplies and white flags? Just enter through Rafah and bypass Israel. Heck the beach is pretty big.
But it’s gonna be hard to find a country who likes Muslims enough.
You should try reading up on the aid efforts that have been made.
Do you think that hasn’t been tried yet?
Israel has shot, bombed, and attacked those flying white flags (including their own citizens), the red cross, medics, hospitals, those with press badges and identification, the un, and most recently an aid ship in the Mediterranean.
They got what they wanted. They derailed the thread and made it about themselves, rather than the actual victims of genocide the post referenced.

Maybe. Either way, they seem genuinely distressed like the emotions have mastered them, rather than the other way around and I get that because I’ve been there. I see it a lot on Lemmy and IRL. Sometimes we just need to get away from media and people, spend time being still, silencing the chaos, doing some deep self-Reflexion, and doing whatever real self-care (rather than distraction /doom scrolling) is within our means. Can you imagine if a few heads of state did that for a weekend?! We’d be closer to world peace than we’ve been in a century.

This is a lady in a wig talking. This is not an armada of ships announcing their plans in advance, showing up while streaming video, and proving that they cannot get to shore.
Frankly, I doubt a good number of these attempts. Put it on Netflix and you’ll roll right in untouched.
Israel would just say the aid is either hamas or those providing it are hamas, as they’ve done the entire time.

If this is all news/surprising to you I’d recommend doing research before saying the usa is faultless
It’s amazing how people can just fabricate entire concepts on lemmy. The idea that I think the USA is faultless cannot be found anywhere in my history. Sure, you could read a sentence and hallucinate that it means something else—but you’re aware of what you’re doing. Do you use that tactic to make me feel bad? Because it just makes me feel sad for you. It must be some kind of psychosis?
You cant see how that reads as stop being mean tk the usa, they arent doing anything wrong?

I’m just criticizing China because they are ML. And they don’t care about genocide when it doesn’t make the US look bad.

It probably would have been good to address them by name to avoid confusion.
Why won’t the muslim majority country provide aid? And take in refugees? Why only US is blamed for it?

That’s a good question. Why won’t they? Where is Britain? They owned (stolen) the land before it was given to Israel. Maybe take it back.
