    LinkedIn.

It’s one of the last social media I have. Benefits outweigh cons, but I still would like to get rid of it

I’ve been wanting to create this but I don’t have enough experience making federated anything. Which parts of LinkedIn would you want replicated the most?

Just being able to see interesting job posts in my field and area

But if you would like to contribute to Fediverse project, I would say that the current link aggregator options would have more impact:

        • if you know Rust: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy
        • if you know Java: https://github.com/sublinks
        • if you know PHP: https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin/
        • if you know Python: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/

So is kbin unofficially dead now?

EDIT: Huh, checked the GitHub repo’s contributions graph … and yea, nothing since the end of last year. Is Ernest ok?

By comparison, mbin has multiple significant contributors … nice to see.

Yes, that’s why I always link Mbin nowadays

It can be like Facebook if you don’t know how to use it. It can suck.

But I found all my jobs thanks to this website so I can’t complain.

I found my latest job there. Some companies tend to mostly post in LinkedIn rather than other job boards. I guess it’s probably country dependent

I do B2B hardware and software projects. I hate sales and advertising but I will post something I’m working on about once a week on my personal LinkedIn. It’s amazing how many customers reference that stuff when I have my first meeting.
