Tried that, didn’t work for me.

Making NewPipe the default app for all YouTube links did, though 🙂

    If you’re using Android, it’s Settings > Apps > Choose Default Apps > Opening Links > NewPipe and just select the relevant domains such as youtube.com and youtu.be
