Most of the amphipods found in that depth rather scavenge or feed on detritus, natural waste material that is left after something has been used or broken up. But D. camanchaca hunts prey making its first predetary amphipod documented in the zone.
Aliens are very much not predators. There is a movie I haven’t seen but I imagine it’s all about outlining the differences.
