And now here I am.
At this point, getting banned at reddit is a badge of honor.
Uh…the “badge of honor” would have been quitting back during api-gate and not looking back. Getting banned now just means one participated after that time, providing spez with traffic and value, and helped normalize the behaviour that is only just now a bridge too far.
Today, a ban is the “conciliatory prize of not thinking ahead”.
Nah, just circumvent with revanced and poison the well.
Have you considered what drinking from that well is doing to your mental gut flora?
3rd party apps closing down I can see from a business point. Makes good business sense. Keep everyone on your shitty app and monetize it. I wasn’t for it but understood the greedy fucks behind it.
Now it’s just different. Banned for going against Nazis, just means they are in bed with Nazis. That’s the last straw.

Not understanding how greed and control are different manifestations of fascism is still on you. Corporations always align with fascists because a corporation is essentially a small kingdom where a handful of Lords make all the decisions for the peasants (workers/consumers).
Plenty of us saw where this was headed because of the API drama.
Corporations always align with fascists
Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.
- Benito Mussolini
spez is well known to polish musk and trumps knob. and pointing out people should not be okay with “you can call everyone a nazi because disagree with you”
just means they are in bed with Nazis
Fascism is always the best business decision. This is the inevitable result of capitalism. The institutions on a good decade are strong and resilient. Oligarchy, yes, but still a more or less free society.
Eventually though, there will be a series of crisis in succession that causes the establishment to weaken just enough for a strongman to slip in and take the reigns. In the 20th century it was the fallout from WW1 and the Great Depression. In our time it was COVID and the Ukraine + Israeli wars (and to some extent, 2008 housing crisis)
One key part of fascism is that it is almost paradoxical
a) A populist-driven ideology, which means it appeals to the lowest common denominator
b) An elitist-driven ideology, which means it idolizes and puts value in the elites of a society
What ends up happening is the state picks and chooses elite groups of people who end up running the show. So for example, if you are Zuckerberg or Musk or Bezos… you know that if you play nice with Trump that he will reward you and you will have certain advantages by having a friend in an authoritarian government. You also know that if you don’t play nice with Trump, he will try and hurt you using both legal and illegal mechanisms.
Therefore, the best investment you could make is aligning yourself with the fascist state.
This was always going to happen. Sort of like how humans eventually will catch a cold or develop cancer. The immune system on a good day is strong enough to repel these types of problems. But eventually, you will be under some stress for one reason or another and your immune system is not enough to stop the inevitable cold or what have you.
i also give badges to people who can evade it successful with more sophisticated methods, of and advertisers for thier business. its the people who uses hundreds of accts, not the troll propaganda accts, because reddit does very little about them.
I’m rocking a chest full of badges then.
I got banned for responding to r/unpopularopinion something about prisons, and said people in prisons should work everyday 9-5, forced labour, no excuses etc. And someone responded that prisoners working would not be safe because other prisoners could easily attack other prisoners and harm them. And i was like yeah so if anyone attempts to do that, should be shot on sight. Basically warned before entering 9-5 work to be given instructions that attacking other inmates is wrong and you will be shot on sight if attacked other prisoner. So basically that was it. I got banned, because i wanted to make prisoners work like the rest of us, normal society who are not punished for prison time.
Does that mean spez is getting banned for being a mod on r/jailbait?
Maybe if they actually had good moderators to prevent that content getting upvoted in the first place…
Reddit is a piece of shit.
Finally made the jump. Reddit is a right-wing cesspool of censorship.
I’m gonna buy a Luigi board to ask the guidance of Aaron Schwartz because I’m sure he is dying to get revenge
Fuck it, I’m going to delete the account that I used to get over a previous permaban. I’ll read, but not post. No point in just posting anyway.
r/fuckreddit
Perma banned because I wished c-ncer on a pro-Israel troll. Is that an earned ban you guys think?
So the user who posts it can be banned and then the entire comment tree and upvoters. Selectively removing people/entire groups they don’t want being visible and keep/promote the ones they do. AI trained on all of this to monitor the speech in real time. So basically no dissent ever being visible because it’s removed before anyone can see and the user banned before they can let anyone know, a mass silent cyber gag.
At least that’s how I see it being used. Here’s a picture of my dog though.
It’s horrifying especially to think how Reddit never did anything about the fucked up things incels would say they wanted to do to underage girls and women, or the literally jailbait, racist, insanity they’d share. Basically that stuff was always okay, but if you want to defend yourself against your oppressor? Banned for upvoting despite you didn’t even think the comment was “bannable”.
So, stop upvoting those luigi memes. How sad
Reminds me of back in 2013 when Reddit admins accidentally revealed that Eglin Air Force Base, a location often cited as the source of government social-media propaganda/astroturfing programs, was the most Reddit addicted city in the world.
