I have been wondering that myself for a while now…
I’m seeing tons of “No comments” despite there being comments… sometimes dozens kd comments aren’t there…
That might be your language settings. Go into your main Lemmy settings and make sure that ‘Undetermined’ is selected

How does that work with defederated instances?
No. I have hexbear blocked, but I still see their users. It will block posts from that instance, however.
Ok perfect, that’s what I was hoping!
It used to stop you from getting notifications of replies but still seeing them.
Now you get replies, which isn’t exactly a good thing, if I block a whole instance it’s because their users are insufferable
