If I search for comments, I’ll see stuff from whenever, but it works as it should when searching for posts.
I just took an edible and it’s starting to kick in, but I still want to figure this out.
Getting stoned and getting the magic rocks in my homelab to do my bidding one of my favourite ways to use up my time on this Earth.
looks like their product is intended to feel as close to Microsoft as possible
Maybe that’s why they picked a name really easy to mistake for another office software suite, to mimic Microsoft’s atrocious naming schemes :P
blind brothers and sisters
No gender-neutral language for our non-binary siblings? For shame, comrade.
but eyeing OnlyOffice because of their cloud service.
Je ne m’attendais pas de voir un thread au sujet de l’impro sur Lemmy!
The improv match format you’re referring to is pretty much exclusively a thing in the Francophone scene. L’impro-match, or l’improvisation gravelienne, or l’impro style LNI started in the 70s’ in Québec out of the experimental theatre scene in Montréal, before spreading to other French-speaking countries.
The closest I’ve found on the Anglo side of things is stuff like theatresports or the Canadian Improv Games. There are similarities but the hockey theming is absent and the formats vary in multiple ways.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I’ve had schedules where I didn’t get two sequential days off in a week I’d tire out waay fast.
In your situation, I’d probably pick Sunday+Monday as my weekend. You get the extra for working on Sunday, and you get to avoid the stressed people on Mondays. It is nice to have one conventional weekend day off, the other commenters aren’t lying when they say working weekends limits social opportunities.
Here’s the link on Github. It doesn’t seem to be on the main F-Droid repo, only IzzyOnDroid’s, so I don’t know why the other commenter tried to link to it on the main repo.
I like Fluent Reader, it looks nice, can fetch full articles, and IIRC caches them locally for offline viewing, don’t quote me on that last one though.
When you post a link, you can add a thumbnail image URL! In the default lemmy-ui, it should be right under where you upload an image :)
Beautiful Stories From Anonymous People, basically someone calls in to talk about anything they want with the host (comedian Chris Gethard). The caller can hang up any time, the host must hang up after exactly one hour.
People call in to talk about so many different things, and Gerhard is really good at getting people to open up in a very genuine yet casual manner.
Oops, I didn’t see that part of the question, my bad! I sure hope rice stays affordable, that and tofu represent like half my diet :P
Lentils and potatoes for sure, but we don’t really grow rice in Canada. There are some [examples] (https://chathamdailynews.ca/news/local-news/chatham-kent-home-to-canadas-first-commercial-rice-crop), but we get our rice from the US, Thailand, and India, as well as many other countries. I eat rice very regularly and I have no doubt I’ve never eaten rice grown on Canadian soil.
I got a new job, and the group chat is on WhatsApp, so I’m looking into running a Synapse server with a bridge to it. I really don’t want to have to use Meta’s apps on my phone.
From what I’ve read so far, it seems like it’s going to be the most convoluted install process I’ll have encountered in my self-hosting journey. I’m excited to tackle it, but also a bit overwhelmed. Which is why I’ve been putting it off :P
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick. I’ve always loved this song, it has a mix of different styles, from flute-forward chill sections to more classic rock sounding parts.
Oh and it’s over 43 minutes long. Before anyone says “oh but there’s part 1 and part 2”, this was a limitation of vinyl and not the artistic intent behind the piece. It’s one song, fight me.
This hoax actually started out in PEI and then spread everywhere.
It should be up to businesses how parents decide to raise their newborn?
Fuck off.
If anyone wants an example of Québecois swearing, I recommend checking out Lorembarnak. It’s lorem ipsum but tabarnak-ified.
