I mean, in microblogging a lot of posts will have no discussions simply because thats the nature of microblogging. But if you saw no interaction and discussion under posts of people who have lots of followers, then certainly yes.

It means that if you see a post, you will finally see all replies and interactions to that post. Currently this is not working.
Lemmy is programmed in a way so it actively looks for communities/groups. But not individual posters. which is why lemmy can only display mastodon and pixelfed individual posts if they have been posted into groups.
Mastodon mainly only looks like there is no interaction happening because of their federating logic. Which is being worked on to be fixed sometimes this year
There’s also !findacommunity@lemmy.ml and !findasub@lemmy.world
It is completely fine for you or the general public to make this about Musk’s leopard-eating face time. I agree with you on that.
All I’m saying is that the reason these billionaires dislike tariffs has nothing to do with Musk, they have a very real different reason for that.
For KDE, I think @bshah@fosstodon.org and @ravi@toot.io do post from mastodon to lemmy
This is not about Musk, Musk is not fond of the tariffs either. All of Trump’s stupid economic ideas are Peter Navarro’s doing
Best you ask at !asklemmy@lemmy.ml
Yes, the ay they do it at KDE is the most seamless imteraction currently possible between lemmy and mastodon
The more relevant information imo would not be the ttotal number of subscribers but the number of active members per day/week/month as visible in the sidebar in webui.
I think you copy pasted a wrong link?
resolution to allow members who give birth or lawmakers whose spouses give birth to have another member vote for them for 12 weeks.
Well that sounds like a stupid proposition. The “other member” could simply use their second vote to vote however they want in absence of the lawmaker with a newborn. Surely there are better ways to handle this.
Hosted Wordpress with ActivityPub plugin
Point number 1 for sure.
Favoriting/liking is especially a good thing to do with photo posts, as pixelfed emphasizes likes over boosts and I think a lot of photographers and artists appreciate likes more than your average poster.
I didn’t know that favourites factor into the trending algorithm. Good to know.
Which is why awesome people like @grant@toast.ooo do it instead
Imported US culture (movies, TV etc) has successfully planted the idea in a lot of people that teenagers under 18 are “essentially the same as little children”. So no one cares about technicalities.
The issue here is that most countries define the age of consent differently. I think we can agree that when a 16 year old agrees to sexual contact with another 16 year old, the dynamic is different than if they agree to it with a 40 year old. Absolutely. But that does not mean that the 16 year old doesnt understand what they are doing.
I can assure you that the judiciary system in my country does work. It’s just that these people either a. just want to beat someone up and need an excuse, or b. don’t agree with our laws and think it should be prison time for a 18 year old who wants to date a 16 year old, or a 21 year old who wants to date a 17 year old.
I see that you have a very good quota of comments that you get on every lemmy post you make. I dont think that’s true for every poster, especially when posting to niche lemmy communities.
But yes: of course the lemmy format invites comments way more than the microblogging format of mastodon
